AFFOGATO AL CAFFÈ

This is a very typical italian dessert, and sooooo absolutly easy to do! It means “drawn in coffee” and it requires only two simple ingredients:

  • Ice cream
  • Coffee

Now it all sounds simple enough right? But the secret here is good ingredients, pressed coffee and ice cream supermarket just won’t do :)

For the coffee: use expresso coffee or a mocha machine for best results. I used Guglielmo coffee which is very strong!

For the ice-cream: of course, in Italy we have so much choice of gelato, but my favourite is La Romana. Use good quality of vanilla or stracciatella flavours.

And the easy part: Just pour the coffee over the ice cream, and then add mooooore ice cream on top!
